Siyavash (Sia) Fooladian, MD, MPH is a board-certified anesthesiologist, an Ironman triathlete, and a passionate advocate for a holist, integrative approach to health and wellness.
Dr. Sia holds a BA in history and education from UCLA. He received his MD and MPH degrees from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He completed his residency and advanced fellowship training in cardiothoracic anesthesia at UCLA Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident.
With over ten years of clinical experience caring for patients with an array of medical ailments, Dr. Sia understands the need for an integrative approach to health. He believes that optimal health can be achieved and maintained by a holistic understanding of the mind, body, and spirit. Dr. Sia wholeheartedly believes the best way to optimal health is to merge the best of Eastern and Western modalities. San Te Therapeutics was born out of this belief and focuses on harnessing the benefits of CBD to balance our often under-regulated endocannabinoid system (ECS).
Dr. Sia has seen firsthand how opioid addiction and the opioid crisis have affected the well-being of his patients. He has also witnessed complications, in both young and elderly patients, such as reversible and irreversible kidney failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, and liver dysfunction from pharmaceutical alternatives to opioids—NSAIDS (ibuprofen, Motrin, Alleve, etc) and Tylenol. An expert in alleviating his patients’ pain during and after surgery, Dr. Sia leveraged his medical knowledge and passion for creating impact to launch San Te Therapeutics.
As the founder of one of the first physician/MD-owned and led CBD companies in the marketplace, Dr. Sia is deeply committed to helping San Te Therapeutics’ tribe live their most beautiful lives. He and his team are dedicated to educating and continuously innovating, evolving, and providing high-quality CBD products. Dr. Sia believes that what we choose to feed our minds and bodies creates a significant impact on our longevity, our fulfillment, and our ability to serve others.
Dr. Sia maintains a daily practice of meditation and mindfulness, alongside nutraceutical and CBD supplementation and cold therapy, in order to promote peak performance and health in his active lifestyle. Aside from his passion to create real impact through San Te Therapeutics, Dr. Sia’s hobbies and interests include swimming, running, yoga, traveling, resiliency/burnout coaching, mindset training, and pediatric surgery medical missions to Guatemala and Tanzania through Mending Kids International, a Los Angeles-based charity.
